Then buy 20 of them!

All money raised goes to assuring the long-term future of the site and anything over and above that minor sum will go to the club. I guarantee nobody is pocketing cash from this, not that your implying that, but just to make it clear.

The custom badge option is there if you would like one Ben. Otherwise I'm sure if you let someone know the kind of badge you were after they will whip you up a nice design.

I think it would be a good for Werribee to make a little bit of income in conjunction with this website.

Already one step ahead, i have an order out there, and a few designs to help Maz out.

What is our capability printing-wise? Inkjet? Do you know of the DPI? I ask because I want to know what the limitations on designs are...

at the moment just printing from my home computer which is
"4800x1200dpi¹ with FINE print head and 2pl Micro-Nozzles"

whatever that means

photos come out ok, but not the best, we have to be careful using them anyway because of copyright and stuff. but all the text based ones come out quite well

the badges we are offering as part of this site aren't anything similar to what the club is selling. we aren't in anyway suggesting you stop buying club ones but, correct me if I'm wrong, the club doesn't sell badges featuring past players or old heritage themed ones. Nor do they offer ones featuring the nicknames or something a little bit more creative than the stock standard player's face and number. I suppose you could go on ebay and buy some vintage ones, or some that someone has made for exclusively their own profit if you want.

I don't think these badges are any better or worse than the club's ones, they're something different that the club can't offer while still promoting the bulldog brand and hopefully raising money for the club. It's up to everyone to decide for themselves whether they feel comfortable buying them and think its a good way of going about things.

It's just an idea I had to hopefully grow and promote this site and give back to the club in some way since not many were interested in just donating to the backyard program. It could be a disaster, or it could work, but we won't know until we try. I think having something a bit different to other web forums will also help with getting people here and posting more.

Support or disagree with it, up to you.

I support the idea maz, think its great thinking but you need to prepare yourself for qustions like this.

Any photo of a current player is under copywrite law so you need be carefull. I know better then anyone here what the club/afl will do in terms of copyright.

Any former player, after about 1998 would still have been copyrighted, but the club wouldnt give 2 ******** about them.

So if you work it out then it will work, but as ive said current players are hard to use unless you use private pics.

if its like the sam power one you made maz i dont no how well they will work if its made of a medal back then it would work well
