ST KILDA moved on quickly from chief executive Archie Fraser's resignation yesterday, trumpeting the return of Lenny Hayes, Justin Koschitzke and Steven Baker for tomorrow's NAB Challenge match against the Western Bulldogs.
Skipper Nick Riewoldt also joined in full training yesterday for the first time since minor knee surgery four weeks ago.
Assistant coach Stephen Silvagni said Riewoldt was still a week or two off playing, but the key forward was glad to resume full training.
"He spent most of the time on the track through pre-season. It's only been the last three weeks he hasn't been out there full-time," Silvagni said. "He's back in full training (and) we expect him to play in a week or two."
Koschitzke was a late withdrawal from the Saints' opening NAB Cup game against the Brisbane Lions with a foot injury. Silvagni expects him to play 60-70 per cent of tomorrow's game.
"It's always good to get one of your key position players back," he said.
Leigh Montagna, Jason Gram and Xavier Clarke are also expected to come into the side.
Former Bulldog Farren Ray has been selected for his first match against his old side.
The Bulldogs named Jason Akermanis for his first match of the pre-season competition.
Robert Murphy, Mitch Hahn, Scott Welsh, Ryan Griffen and Andrejs Everitt were also named in the 30-man squad. Brownlow medallist Adam Cooney (knee) and tall defender Tom Williams (shoulder) were left out of the squad. |

Apparently we were smashed, which is not good. Did anybody end up going?
Winning doesn't mean much in pre-season, but you still want the side to play good footy. From all accounts we didn't do that.

Dad was going to go but decided against it with the weather.
Apprently not much chop. Gilbs fainted. Ayce did some good stuff. This time of year holds little interest for me tbh.
