Werribee v North Ballarat
Didn't receive an e-mail back from our general manager but did receive a copy of the player's memo and it said that players were to arrive at 9.30am.

I suspect it would be 11.10am (reserves) and 2pm (seniors) game times.

Both games will be played at Dunstown Recreation Reserve.

Take the Kryal Castle exit off the highway, follow the road then turn left at the T intersection.

Melways Ref - 611 B1

There will be three players pulling on the boots for Werribee tomorrow, they are listed below.

Robbie Tarrant
Connor Meredith
Leigh Adams

Daniel Pratt will play for North Ballarat, but not sure if there will only other North Melbourne listed players running around for the Roosters.

Game times are 11am and 12.50pm

Werribee and North Ballarat crashed at Dunnstown in two games, with the Tigers dominating the main game to win 14.9.93 to 8.5.53

North Melbourne Listed Players
Seniors

10.Meredith- played all over the ground, looked particularly impressive during a stint in defence. I'm not expecting him to step straight into VFL senior football and a year of development in the reserves is definitely the way to go for this guy from Ireland.

26.Tarrant- played mostly as a forward today and took some good marks combined with superb leads. Kicked a couple of goals as well but not in the reckoning for AFL selection just yet.

32.Adams- continued his recovery to full match fitness by playing in the midfield and did some good things as he didn't give up running at any stage.

I went along today, nice sunny day at teac oval, awesoome day for footy, really didnt have much idea who the players were hahah, lots of new guys, i only new a few, but i will say they are looking very good out there, i think werribee are onto something this year, and may jsut go all the way, hopefully they do.

Anyway im sure Ben can tell us who played well and all that.

Werribee won by 4 points i think it was, and the port #9 had a shot to win after the siren and kicked it out on the full lol.

It was only a prac match, but its so awesome to finally have footy back again.

North Melbourne listed players for Werribee
Seniors

13.Adams- spent time in midfield and as a small forward, took some great marks as he ran rings around the Port Melbourne defence. With Campbell and Thomas the starting small forwards in the AFL team, a midfield role would be where an opportunity might become available.

26.Tarrant- played exclusively as a forward as he booted two goals, led well and took some telling marks. Could play some AFL games during the year, but a full year out from injury last year has set him back.

29.Goldstein- shared the ruck duties with Banjanin and was good in patches around the ground, but it was his kicking that let him down again. Finished the game with 15 hit outs and 9 disposals.

30.Greenwood- was his usual self yesterday, playing a defensive midfield role but showed plenty of fight and aggression. Laid some excellent tackles including one that looked like something out of a rugby league game rather than Aussie rules.

32.Ross- was good in the midfield, leading well and taking some good marks in the process. Was the highest disposal getter for Werribee with 29 and definitely looks the goods to play some more AFL football during the year.

34.Grima- still getting back to full fitness following a full knee reconstruction but looked good in defence but only played a half due to being an emergency for the game against Melbourne.

39.Delaney- only had the 8 disposals, but some showed potential at different stages. More of a long term prospect like a lot of talls and will be given time to develop.

40.Obst- drifted between the midfield and full back (replacing Grima), finished with 19 disposals. Looked at ease playing in both positions and definitely best on ground.

48.O'Keefe- very athletic kind of player, but looked promising and will spend time playing VFL reserves football as the senior forward line will be very strong with Thompson as spearhead.

66.Harris- got plenty of the ball in the midfield and didn't stop running all day, as he finished with 28 disposals.

72.Meredith- played in defence and looked decent but as I said last week is still learning the game. Not ready for senior VFL football yet and it would be better for his game if he speant it learning in the reserves. On a posititve note, has come along way considering the short period of time he has been here.

Werribee played under lights at Chirnside Park for the first time and fought back after being 54 points down at half-time to go down by just five points.

Werribee 12.16.88
Box Hill Hawks 14.9.93

North Melbourne listed players for Werribee
Seniors

13.Adams-a quiet game by his usual standards with 9 disposals but did a mountain of work in the middle laying several telling tackles and stopping several Box Hill forward thrusts.

30.Greenwood- played in defence clocking up 19 disposals and keeping up with all of his opponents. His drive out of defence was a highlight, along with his pressure (3 tackles, 2 spoils).

34.Grima- still finding his way since returning from a knee reconstruction but took some telling marks in defence. Laid a tackles and also had 2 spoils.

39.Delaney- was used in bursts off the bench but was quiet with 5 disposals but showed plenty of athleticism. I see plenty of potential with him, he has got good height and could play as a tall forward/ruck type.

40.Obst- spent most of the game on the wing and had a small stint down forward as well. Chipped in with three useful goals, one tackle, four blocks and a spoil. Finished the game with 13 disposals.

45.Warren- was lively with 23 disposals and four goals. His run and defensive pressure (3 tackles, 2 spoils) was great. Definitely a chance to make his AFL debut in the coming weeks after being an emergency for round one against Melbourne.

47.Meredith- continued to show some good signs and in particular with his kicking. I think the most important thing for him at this stage is to be given as much ground time as possible and opportunities to work on developing his skills.

48.O'Keefe- played mostly as a forward but struggled to be effective with his leads. Only managed two behinds in what wasn't one of his better performances and will develop as the season progresses.

57.Ross- helped to set up some goals, was good through the middle with his run and disposal of the ball at stoppages especially in pack situations. Finished with 12 disposals including 8 handballs and 8 handball receives.
