Williamstown Vs Port Melbourne
Venue: TEAC Oval (525 Williamstown Road, Pt Melbourne)

We have reached Round 17 of the 2008 VFL Season and this Saturday’s clash against Port Melbourne looms as a crucial match up to decide each clubs position inside the top 4. Williamstown are coming off a morale boosting 151 point win over Tasmania and Port Melbourne a victory over Werribee. This Saturday’s game promises to be full of passion and emotion and we encourage all our members, supporters, sponsors, past players and all those connected to the club to watch the match and support the Mighty Seagulls. |

Nah, they play for the Cup when they at Burbank. No dogs allowed at TEAC (that's furry, four-legged ones, not 'Dogs supporters - ;) ) |

| At half time, Williamstown trailed by 8 points, but two quick goals at the start of the third now sees the Gulls in front. |

Josh Hill made a couple of shocking mistakes in defence, which cost goals, but has now been moved to the forward line. Is starting to get into the game and is getting some valuable touches. Just missed an easy goal which would have put Williamstown 8 points in front.
FWIW, Cameron Wight is NOT a very good player. However, he's off to hospital with a suspected broken jaw.
Port now 1 point in front. |

Turnovers are proving to be costly for Williamstown. That, and too many frees against in defence.
Port by 13 points - 17 minutes in the third.
Brett Johnson narrows the gap to 7. |

| Game over as Port go out to a 25 point lead. The margin, if it stays as it is, could be enough for the teams to swap ladders positions. |

Urch pegs it back to 19 points, buts there's still about 5 minutes to play.
If Williamstown are good enough, they can still win, but Port pretty much have their measure at this stage. |
