Hopefully Youngy is good to go this week.

After your praise of Ross last week, here's hoping he can follow it up with another big game for us.

Pods was a bit dissapointing last week, Obst stepped up to the plate with four, we need them to both fire this weekend.

Yep.

We definitely do need Obst and Podsiadly to fire, but then again the Geelong forward line struggled against Coburg so they might struggle this week too.

I am confident that Ross will get some AFL games at some time during the year.

Half time bees 6-10-46 to geelong 9-2-56.

Bad kicking is costing werribee, not good boys.

Thanks to ben for the scores.

What is the reason for the 9.30am start? I realise it is a curtain raiser for the AFL game but couldn't they push the VFL match to a half decent hour?

just got the full time scores from benny, not a good result for the bees, 11.21.87 to geelong 22.8.140

Very very bad kicking from the bees.

Troy i think it was such an early start cause of all the stuff geelong will be doing before the game, the unvailing of the flags and that.

i could be wrong tho.

Yes it was to do with the premiership flags.

No worries.

You can rely on me to send you the score when you can't get to a Werribee game.

Kangaroos listed players for Werribee
The Tigers travelled to Skilled Stadium to take on traditional rivals Geelong in the Geelong v Melbourne Curtain Raiser.

The Tigers struggled all day against a Geelong out out fit that showed a greater level of determination and played slick football everywhere.

26.Hansen- lacked consistency today and was undisciplined at times, he didn't go in hard and attack lack the ball. Quite a few of his disposals were cheap and if he wants to regain his place in the AFL side he needs to be more disciplined.

27.Adams- kicked two goals and was good in the midfield. I think maybe another game or two with Werribee would be good for him and he will be a likely inclusion in the AFL side.

29.Goldstein- had 23 hit outs whilst rotating in the ruck with McKinnon, but again struggled to get much of the ball around ground. Helped set up some good midfield plays that resulted in goals during the first quarter.

30.Greenwood- definitely not one of his better games. His usual place to be lacking today, but as usual his tacking/defensive pressure was good.

32.Ross- played in the midfield and had a spell up forward as well but didn't have a good day in front of goal kicking four behinds. Got plenty of the ball, but he didn't earn some of his disposals were cheap.

36.Scott Thompson- was in good patches at different times but his defensive pressure was a bit down after his performance against Williamstown last week.

40.Obst- had a quiet day after his four goal performance last week, but good defensively and laid some good tackles.

45.Warren- played a great team game today, but was his kicking for goal let him down and could manage only four behinds. Ran all day and always looked to set up a goal.

Captain James Podsiadly was best on ground for his seven goal performance and Dominic Gleeson's drive through the midifield was a pleasure to watch.

Michael Barlow continued to show that he is a gun recruit for Werribee after playing country football with Shepperaton United last year.

Flinn Chisholm was great with his defensive pressure and overall attack on the football.
