I went to New York for Christmas for 10 days and then LA for 10 days. I loved New York. It was absolutely beautiful in the snow and had a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. If it wasn't for Disneyland I wouldn't bother about LA. Having said that though I'm glad I went but don't know if I'd spend much time in the future there again. Will probably go again one day for another Disneyland visit and maybe Universal Studios again and to see some more of the coast line but that's about all. I also went to Washington DC (which I loved) and San Diego (just for a day trip). If you want to know anything specific I'm happy to help out! My advice is to read as much as you can and ask questions if you know people who have been to places your going to. But just go with your gut feeling with final decisions and see what you want to see.

I also went to a gridiron game and an ice hockey game. Made me really miss the footy and how lucky we are to be able to watch the greatest game in the world. The gridiron was really good but expensive and you just couldn't be able to do that every week if you wanted to. There were hardly any women and children there and my daughter and I had to queue separately to my husband and son to get in as we were female which was really weird. A great experience though. The ice hockey wasn't as exciting as what I thought it would be. I was hoping for a few fights but it was actually quite tame.

Am glad to be home and very excited about the upcoming season.
