North Melbourne Listed Players
Seniors
13.Adams- was tight around the packs and attacked the ball hard at every oppotunity, nut his efforts were not enough to help Werribee stay in the game. Had 20 disposals, 5 clearances, 7 tackles and a block.
15.Ross- had a quiet day considering the conditions and struggled to keep himself in the game. Did some good things though at different stages, but hard to judge in a poor team performance. Had 9 disposals, a clearance and a tackle.
29.Goldstein- rotated the ruck duties with Dickson, but struggled at times against Skipper. Didn't get much of the ball around the ground with just 9 disposals. Had 31 hit-outs, but another 30 plus hit-out performance may seem him be recalled to the AFL side.
33.Wright- had minimal impact during the first quarter before going off with a twisted knee injury and didn't return after half-time.
34.Grima- played at full back again and was good in patches, restricting most of the Williamstown forwards to no more than two goals aside from Rose (5) who was dominant all over the ground. Move well in his second official VFL game since returning from a knee reconstruction, finishing with 19 disposals, 2 tackles, a block and 6 spoils.
39.Delaney- played in defence for the full four quarters, but struggled to be effective as the Williamstown forwards were dominant although was effective at times too. Had 13 disposals, 3 tackles, 2 blocks and a spoil.
40.Obst- was a rare positive with his performance in defence and also went down the ground to kick a goal. Struggled at times to know how to use the ball, but didn't disappoint too much. Finished with 21 disposals, 2 hit outs, a clearance and 3 tackles.
66.Harris- superb midfield performance with 29 disposals, 7 clearances, 9 tackles and a spoil. Was a standout as he ran all day, tackled hard and applied plenty of pressure in an otherwise disappointing day for Werribee. Close to an AFL recall in my opinion.
Reserves
31.Riggio, 47.Meredith and 48.O'Keefe all played reserves today but I only saw the some of the second half, there were also some technical issues with the stats computers. _________________
