Resign Mel - I went through the stages of it last week. Goes a little something like that.
1. Swallowing the fact that a change needs to be made and yup, you will quit.
2. Trying to avoid vomiting when you speak to your manager and hand in your resignation letter.
3. The wave of nausea sucks but it passes the next morning when you go in.
4. It's done and you only have to suffer through X amount of days there now that the terror of resignation is done.
The day I resigned I was able to amend it all by going to see Incubus. Damn that was a brilliant day!

This Sunday I'll be going to the hallowed Alvalde Stadium to watch my beloved Sporting take on our loathed cross-town rivals Benfica. Will it be the sweet cup of victory or the bitter enema of defeat? Only time will tell! Pre-match festivities included a lone Sporting supporter being set upon by some 20 Benfica fans and being stabbed three times and burned with a pyrotechnical device (he's alright, thank God), so I'll be looking over my shoulder at all times. Sad...
Apart from that, I'll go out on Friday night and have some drinks, a somewhat more peaceful form of entertainment.
you must have been at the same game we were at!
Just like in the old days at Victoria Park after a win for the away team (or so I've read)? Anyway, the Sporting-Benfica game ended 1-1 and I remained unharmed (unfortunately, that was not the case with everyone...).
Other things that happened this weekend: my wife tattooed my name on her ring-finger, in the place she wears her wedding ring. We never got around to having our wedding rings engraved, so she decided to "engrave" herself  . So this weekend I replaced some tiles on the roof, cooked lunch, loaded the washer, washed the dishes, made the bed, etc. etc. etc. :P

I know this is a thread of whats happening on the weekends, but i had to reply to this.
I really really really want to resign now, as of tomorrow, but ive found out my long service(well part of it) is due in aug, now i dont no what to do. Keepworking somewhere where the parents have no trust in me and get my long service, or jsut pack up and leave and miss the long service by 5 mths(its due in aug).

Well, it's not an easy choice, but if you're unhappy, it probably won't get batter. So saying that, wait until Aug, take you long service and come back to say see ya!

So, if I get "Lisbon" tattooed on my finger, you can come over here, replace some tiles, cook me lunch, load my washer, wash my dishes, make my bed and fix the leaky fridge??
Wicked...

A Collingwood Family Day... hmmm.... Be sure to take the Commodore, try not to yell out Cletus (or a thousand kids will turn their hands and swamp you) and be careful of the grannies - they're the really dangerous ones...
Make sure you wear your Dogs guernsey...
