Come and watch the Seagulls take flight against former AFL alignment partner Collingwood in the big ABC TV clash on Saturday at Burbank Oval in sunny Williamstown.

We also encourage all Western Bulldogs Supporters and Members to attend and support your new VFL Partner the Mighty Seagulls.
The Seagulls are pumped up after the 56 point hiding dished out to rivals Werribee and look forward to battling a Collingwood side that defeated Port Melbourne in Round 1. Dean Galea and Andrew McDougall are possible inclusions for the Seagulls but it will be hard to omit anybody from last weeks victorious side. The fine form of new recruits Jason Cloke, Callum Urch and Ben Jolley has the Seagulls supporters excited about Williamstown's future prospects. Former Collingwood Assistant Coach Brad Gotch who is now Development Coach with the Western Bulldogs and Williamstown Coach will be keen to take on his old side and display his coaching prowess.
All Western Bulldogs Senior Players from this Fridays blockbuster game against St Kilda will be in attendance to sign autographs and conduct handball competitions for the kids at half time on the ground. Bulldogs Merchandise and Memberships will also be on sale.
The club is proud to announce the sell out of our 1st Presidents Luncheon of the year with over 160 people booked in to attend this great day in the history of the club. The Guest Speakers at the Luncheon will be Western Bulldogs Captain and 300 game superstar Brad Johnson and the guests will be entertained by legendary entertainer Mike Brady who will sing the Seagulls new theme song "Stand and Deliver". On behalf of President Trevor Monti we thank everyone for their enormous interest in the Presidents Luncheons and we are committed to being better than ever in 2008 and deliver the best pre-match Luncheon in the VFL.

There will be a Aftermatch Function held in the Williamstown Social Rooms which will begin from 4.45pm onwards. Drinks and food will be available plus speeches from both teams will take place. We encourage everybody to attend to finish off the big day in style.
Special thanks to Match Day Sponsor Buffalo Sports. We thank Eane Whitton and his support team for their great support of the Williamstown Football Club and are proud to wear their off firld apparel.

Sounds like Williamstown are doing everything possible to get a big crowd down there on Saturday, as well as truly create a partnership with the Western Bulldogs.
Great stuff.

Ill be there, good to finally too the doggies show a bit of interest, there was nothing when they were with werribee, even when they 1st chose to go with them, was pathetic, so its great to finally see them do somehting about it, hopefully this partnership works.

The Seadogs (with only 8 AFL listed players) absolutely pumped the Magpies (with 14 AFL listed players).
Bulldogs listed players were largely disappointing.
- O'Keefe - Very good game. Seems to have no problems slotting into VFL senior level. Will just get better and better. Impressive.
- Skipper - Looked dangerous and can be more than happy with his efforts.
- Street - OK game, he can be satisfied.
- Tiller - Quite a good game. Got a lot of the ball, marked well and delivered well by foot.
Cloke was brilliant. Threw himself at everything. Rose was also very impressive for Williamstown.

Yeah Cloke & Rose were definatly the 2 best for Willy.
you missed
- Stack - got his hands on the ball quite a bit in defence, playing that sweeping role, skills were poor at times, but looked composed, never seemed to need to get into top gear.
- O'Shea - TIM WALSH kicked 5 goals on him, although 2 of Walsh's marks shouldn't have been payed.
- Ward - Quiet early on, but goit himself into the game after half time, his 3rd quarter was solid without being outstanding, quiter than previous weeks, but skills & decision making were always good yesterday.
- Sam Reid - Got injured early, with some kind of ankle injury, but came back on, and was good off half back, first time iv'e seen him play, and i liked what i saw, didn't have a big day, but what he did was good, seemed quite confident in his first hit out in the Willy seniors.
As for Jason Cloke, he deserves another crack at AFL level, is a very good tall defender, hard as nails, reads the ball extremely well, and can go forward, will dominate in the VFL.

Great result. I watched the first half on TV, before having to go to a family function - Willy had played okay, but kept letting the Pies back in. Looks like an amazing last quarter.
How did the Seadogs go in the reserves game? Was there a reserves game?
doggies40- 04-05-2008
Paulie lets a dud like walsh kick 5 on him, ye the week before lets a superstar in pods just kick the one.
In the ressies henry white james mulligan jarrad boumann and john shaw played.
Cant say i took a whole lot of notice tho sorry.

I left out the players I thought were sub-par.
Stack struggled to find meaningful ball. Too often he was just standing around. He should be running hard to support the players around him.
I don't think O'Shea played the entire game on Walsh. Walsh was also very fortunate to kick 2 goals from marks that he actually dropped. Walsh is more developed and played OK so I wouldn't hold it against him.
Ward didn't get enough of it, and didn't do anything spectacualr with it when he had it. Wouldn't say he was bad but really didn't have an impact on the game.
Fair call I probably missed Reid who did show positive signs when he got the ball.

The reserves played, but it was only a practice match.
Remember, there are only 11 teams in the reserves comp, so they only play an 18-game H&A season.
