If you had actually listened to the apology it wasn't just about saying sorry, today marked a day where the government agreed on both sides of parliament to goals.

To me, from the reactions I saw from people in parliament, a tiny percentage of those affected by the stolen generation, it already has made a difference.

Call me naive but I believe that rudd is sincere in his goals and that this apology will make a difference. Or maybe I'm just desperate for it to change.

As for compensation, don't they deserve it?

Sorry is obviously not enough, it is a very small step, but it has already made a difference, and i don't believe that anything was going to change without recognition of past wrongs
