Earl- 02-26-2007

Just the USA for me, although i briefly stopped over in New Zealand for a few hours whilst waiting for another flight directly to Melbourne, so you can't really add that onto the list.

In the USA, went to Hawaii, Miami, Los Angeles, i think Philli, may have to ask Earl to refresh my memory on where else we went.

As for interstate trips, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane 3 times, Canberra, Tassie & Phillip Island.

We went to Honolulu Hawai'i, Anaheim California, Miami Florida and Orlando Florida.

I can't give you much info on Northern Ireland as I did not go there (however next time I travel to the UK will make the trip over)

A few of my favourite places included: Galway, Kilkenny, Killarney (great National Park http://homepage.eircom.net/~knp/) and Dublin. Make sure you go and see the cliffs of moher http://www.cliffsofmoher.ie/ (the scenery is outstanding)

Visit this website http://www.discoverireland.com/au/ as it will give you a taste of what to expect

Lisbon- 01-16-2008

Since none of you have apparently visited Lisbon, a glaring omission, if I might add, I decided to post some pictures of my home city, to see if any of you finally decide to fly the gazillion miles from Australia to Portugal and spend some much needed cash around here.

Here are the first three:

Pictured in the last photo is the Rossio square, which is a few hundred meters from where I live.

I'll post some more pictures in the next few days.

barkingspider- 01-16-2008

nice. portugal looks good. wouldn't mind spending some $$$ over there..

also, a friend might be going there this year and he was keen to see the pix.

thanks for the post

Lisbon- 01-16-2008

nice. portugal looks good.

Doesn't it? Sometimes I think Lisbon looks better on film - there have been a few movies (The Russia House, The Other Half, one 007 flick) partially set in Lisbon and we all go "oh my God! what a gorgeous town! never realised it was so beautiful!". Hell, there was a Portuguese mobile phone ad that showed the street where I lived for about 2 seconds and it looked absolutely wonderful!

Here are a few more photos:

;) nice. i'll send those over to him too. he needs a break and that would be a good place to be right now. hehehe
