Big in 2009! As I write this, we’re already 2/3 of the way through January, but I don’t care!
It’s a big year for film this year. Looking forward to some beauties! I felt last year really lacked a lot (even Twilight was “okay” for me and the books are beyond awesome – aside from Breaking Dawn which I’m not so keen about – and Kristen Stewart is not Bella).
This year Sean Penn is Harvey Milk (which starts at the end of January), Christian Bale is John Connor in Terminator Salvation, Wolverine (Gambit and Co), New Moon (to redeem Twilight’s plot holes – more Jasper for God’s sake!).
At this time music doesn’t seem so appealing (I’m sorry TommyGun, U2’s new song is just… not right, thoroughly disappointed - hope I can say something different for the album). No one of note for me coming out for a tour unless there's some surprises later in the year. I suppose I was spoilt with my favourite bands touring within 6 weeks of each other in 2008. My biggest motivator my be this year’s biggest disappointment.
Basketball season coming down to the last few home and away games – could be an all Melbourne GF. That would be great to lift the profile in Melbourne again!
Another Bulldogs rise would be super sweet, with the premiership as the cherry on top!
Come on, what’s so good about 2009?
