Baby joy for Daniel Giansiracusa

WESTERN Bulldogs pin-up Daniel Giansiracusa is a first-time father.

The footy forward and his wife, Kelly, welcomed daughter Ruby Iris on Monday.

The bub - whose middle name is Kelly's grandmother's - was more than a week overdue.

"Both are healthy," Giansiracusa said.

"(Kelly) did an amazing job."

The couple has moved out of their multi-level Fitzroy warehouse conversion for something a little more kiddie-friendly.

Haha we were only talking about that on Sunday at the bike ride, and wonderingif she had had it.

Congrats to them both, hope mum and bub are doing fine, would have preferred a little boy, but hey as long as the babys healthy, thats all you can ask for.
