3 Seagulls in VFL Team of the Year
Williamstown Football Club would like to congratulate Brett Johnson, Liam Picken and David Stretton on their selection in the 2008 VFL Team of The year.
Brett Johnson capped off his outstanding season with being named Captain of the VFL Team of the Year and was selected in the Centre of the side.
Liam Picken was named on the half back flank. The consistent hard and tough Picken has been very consistent all year and thoroughly deserved his place in the side for the first time.
David Stretton capped off his outstanding year being named on the Wing of the side. David has progressed from being on the fringes of the senior team to being named on the Wing of the VFL Team of the Year which is an amazing feat.
All 3 players will be high up in the Gerry Callahan medal which will be awarded at the Williamstown Presentation Night on Thursday 2nd October at the Yarraville Club. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling Trent Mosbey or Brendan Curry on 9390 0611.
